GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) — Same-sex marriage is among the topics the Michigan Civil Rights Commission plans to discuss during its next public meeting.

The meeting scheduled for Monday afternoon at the Kent County Administration Building in Grand Rapids will include a report about the U.S. Supreme Court same-sex marriage ruling’s impact on state law.

The report will be delivered by Richard McClellan, chairman of the Michigan Law Revision Commission. The high court’s decision requires every state to recognize same-sex marriages.

The commission also will consider a resolution supporting the Take on Hate campaign, which challenges discrimination against U.S. Arabs and Muslims.

The bipartisan panel investigates discrimination complaints.
