South Bend Police investigate overnight shooting

South Bend Police are investigating a shooting that happened during the early morning hours, Sunday, in the 300 block of N. Olive Street.

An officer who was on patrol nearby heard shots fired, arrived on scene around 3:45 am and found a man lying in the street suffering gunshot wounds.

Police beleived the shooting in connected to a house party that took place earlier in the night.

One witness said he saw several several men approach a home demanding to be let inside and when they weren’t, they began shooting, according to ABC-57 News.
