Ransomware: The new computer scam that takes control of computers until users pay up

Tom Stout, president of Burston Marketing, stopped by 95.3 MNC on Tuesday, April 21, to talk all about ransomware.

Ransomware is a kind of virus that allows hackers to get into a user’s computer and lock it up. The computer then usually displays a warning, often impersonating a government agency like the FBI, that demands a small fee in order for the lock to be removed.
