7-Eleven armed robbery in Elkhart leads to arrests for two teenagers

Two Elkhart teenagers were arrested in connection to an armed robbery reported at a 7-Eleven convenience store in Elkhart.

Lincoln Leuchtner, 18, and Davontae White, 19, were arrested on preliminary charges of robbery, according to a news release from the Elkhart Police Department.

Police were called to the 7-Eleven at 3601 Cassopolis Street for a hold up alarm at 2:17 a.m. Thursday, April 23.

The clerk told police that a man entered the store and pointed a handgun at her, demanding money, according to the news release. She gave him money and he ran from the store.

After getting a description of the man from the clerk and reviewing surveillance video, police identified and located Leuchtner and White according to the news release.

Both teens are being held without bond at Elkhart County Jail.
