The Elkhart Mayoral ballot is set for November.
Elkhart Mayor Dick Moore will seek his 3rd term, but he will face a challenge from republican Tim Neese who earned nearly triple the amount of votes that Moore did on Tuesday.
In the Democratic primary race, Moore defeated 18 year-old high school senior Caleb Owens, 633-387. In the Republican primary race, Tim Neese defeated Dan Boecher 1729-641.

In a recent interview with The Elkhart Truth, Moore says he has the experience and go-to attitude to earn a third term. He said a good example of his track record is development of the SOMA group.
In a recent interview with The Elkhart Truth, Neese says, if elected Mayor, he will be bullish on bringing new business and jobs to Elkhart.
As for the City Council races, Republican David Henke won in the 3rd District and faces Democrat Chad Crabtree in November. Democrat Dwight Fish won the 4th District seat and is unapposed in the fall.
