Loved ones of Alma Del Real are looking to local lawmakers for help in searching for the missing woman.

Susana Langunas, Del Real’s aunt, is reaching out to the offices of Indiana Gov. Mike Pence and U.S. Sen. Joe Donnelly in hopes that they can help.
“Donnelly’s office, I’m signing some forms today, so that maybe they can help me bring Alma’s mother here in the country,” Lagunas told 95.3 MNC’s news partners ABC 57. Del Real’s mother is in Mexico and hasn’t been able to get to the U.S. to search for her daughter.
Lagunas said that the governor’s office responded to her request, telling her about other resources that they can use to help look for her.
“I will never stop looking for her. I don’t care if it happens, if its years and years,” Langunas said. “She’s always on my mind and I will never stop looking for her ever never in my life.”
Meanwhile, South Bend Police Department investigators continue to follow up on leads.
Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 reward to anyone who sends a tip that helps police find Del Real. Anonymous tips in both English and Spanish can be given by calling 574-288-STOP or by visiting Michiana Crime Stoppers’ website.
