Two people arrested after raid on suspected drug home in South Bend

Two people were arrested and a child was turned over to a relative after a raid on a suspected drug home in South Bend.

Police executed a search warrant in the 300 block of East Barbie Street after  search warrant was secured after authorities received tips about possible drug dealing happening at the home, according to a news release from the South Bend Police Department.

Schuyler Stantona, 29, and Danielle Echevarria, 29 were arrested and charged with two counts of dealing in cocaine and one count each of dealing in marijuana, dealing in at least 10 grams of cocaine with intent to deliver, dealing in methamphetamine with intent to deliver and dealing in marijuana with intent to deliver.

Police also found two firearms in the home, as well as a sum of money and suspected MDMA, which is also known as ecstasy, according to the news release. Some of the marijuana was in the form of marijuana wax, which police say is commonly referred to as butter.

A 7-year-old girl who was inside the home was turned over to a relative.

The South Bend Police Department was assisted by Indiana State Police and federal agents in the arrest.
