Lightning top Hawks in Chicago

CHICAGO (AP) — Cedric Paquette has scored 15 regular-season and playoff goals during his brief NHL career. The 15th has given the Tampa Bay Lightning a 2-1 lead in the Stanley Cup finals.

Pacquette scored with 3:11 remaining to cap the Lightning’s comeback in a 3-2 triumph over the Blackhawks in Chicago. Brandon Saad put the Hawks ahead 2-1 at 4:14 of the third period, but Ondrej Palat tallied 13 seconds later before Paquette gave Tampa Bay its second straight win.

Ben Bishop made 18 of his 36 saves in the first period after his status for the game was unclear just prior to the pregame warmup. The Lightning had given no indication either way about the status of their No. 1 goaltender after he left the ice twice in the third period of Saturday’s 4-3 win.

Ryan Callahan scored the opening goal and assisted on the game-winner. Victor Hedman had two assists for the Lightning, who are 8-3 on the road and two wins away from their second Stanley Cup.

Brad Richards notched a power-play goal and Marian Hossa had two assists for the Blackhawks.

Game 4 is Wednesday in Chicago.
