Eastbound Indiana Toll Road entry ramp in Mishawaka closed this week for bridge repainting

Drivers who use the entry ramp to head east on the Indiana Toll Road from the Mishawaka entrance off of S.R. 331 will need to get on in Elkhart for the rest of the week.

The eastbound entry ramp is closed so that the bridge can be repainted, according to Amber Kettring, a spokeswoman with the Indiana Toll Road.

It will be closed from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. through Thursday, June 18, though it could also be closed on Friday, June 19, if the work is delayed because of the weather.

The eastbound driving lane near mile marker 83 may also be occasionally closed at times as traffic allows, Kettring said.

Westbound Mishawaka traffic won’t be affected. The eastbound exit at mile marker 83 will remain open.

The posted detour takes drivers east along Cleveland Road, which turns into C.R. 6 in Elkhart County, to S.R. 19. Drivers should then turn north (left) onto S.R. 19. The entrance to the Indiana Toll Road will be on the right after the hill.
