Veterans, active military members can get free ticket to South Bend Country Fest

Veterans and active military members can get one free ticket to the South Bend Country Fest concert at Four Winds Field in June.

The concert features Joe Nichols, Easton Corbin, Trick Pony and Natalie Stovall. Gates open at 3:30 p.m. and Stovall’s performance starts at 5 p.m. Saturday, June 27.

Veterans and active military members can get a free ticket by showing a military ID at the South Bend Cubs Box Office or the South Bend Parks and Recreation main office on O’Brien Street, according to a news release from the South Bend Cubs.

“Anytime we can show our military a little love and support, we’ll do it. It’s a small gesture for a very large sacrifice,” Joe Hart, president of the South Bend Cubs, said. “Besides, what’s better than being outside with a cold beer on a summer night listening to some great music?”

Tickets are still on sale for the concert for $35. Each concert ticket comes with a complimentary South Bend Cubs ticket for any Sunday through Thursday game in 2015.
