1977 Chevy Camaro race car reported stolen has been located

UPDATE: The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office reported on Saturday evening, July 4, that the Chevy Camaro had been located. A trailer the vehicle was stored in was still missing.

ORIGINAL STORY:

The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help in finding a 1977 Chevy Camaro, reported to be stolen from a family member’s property on 40th Street in Bloomingdale Township, Mich.

The owner reported that he had left his Pro-Street 1977 Chevy Camaro, gray in color, in an enclosed trailer on the property. The last time the victim said he checked on the car was two months ago, according to a news release from the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim reported that he went to get the vehicle on Thursday, July 2, and he found that the trailer and the vehicle had been stolen, according to the news release.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office at 269-657-3101.
