Motorcycle crash in Michigan leaves Constantine man dead

A 33-year-old Constantine, Mich., man died after his motorcycle crashed into two trees in Michigan early Saturday morning, July 4.

James Carlston was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle east on Featherstone Road about a half mile west of Constantine Road in Constantine Township when his motorcycle left the road on a curve and crashed into two trees, according to a news release from the St. Joseph County (Michigan) Sheriff’s Department.

Officers with the sheriff’s department were dispatched to the crash at about 3:05 a.m.

Carlston wasn’t wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Police are still investigating.
