Hillary Clinton schedules $2,700-a-head fundraiser in suburban Detroit

GROSSE POINTE, Mich. (AP) — Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton has scheduled a $2,700-a-head fundraiser July 21 in suburban Detroit.

The Detroit News says it obtained a copy of the invitation to the event. It’s being held at the Grosse Pointe home of David Katz and Jill Alper.

The newspaper says attending the event costs $2,700. It says people who raise at least $27,000 will be recognized as event co-hosts and those who raise at least $50,000 will be recognized as hosts.

The former U.S. senator from New York and former U.S. secretary of state last visited Michigan on Oct. 16, when she addressed a Democratic rally for U.S. Senate candidate Gary Peters and gubernatorial candidate Mark Schauer in Auburn Hills.
