Elkhart man, 22, killed in crash on County Road 6 near Bristol

A 22-year-old Elkhart man was killed after he lost control of his vehicle and hit a tree.

Sheriff’s deputies were called to County Road 6 east of County Road 19 on Friday afternoon, July 17, where Anthony Whyte’s vehicle struck a tree.

Whyte, 22,was driving, east of County Road 19 at a high rate of speed when he lost control and drove off the road and hit the tree, according to a press release from the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department.

Whyte was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash is being investigated by the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department Crash Investigation Team.
