Edwardsburg man killed after getting hit by car while riding his bike

An Edwardsburg, Mich., man was killed when he was hit by a car while riding his bicycle Sunday afternoon, July 19.

Daniel Bice, 70, was riding his bike east on U.S. 12 near Union Road when he was hit by a car traveling the same direction at about 1:50 p.m., according to 95.3 MNC’s news partners, ABC 57.

Emergency personnel tried to revive Bice, but he died at the scene.

The 24-year-old Union, Mich., woman who was driving the car was not injured, ABC 57 reported.

The Michigan State Police Department is investigating the crash and said alcohol was not a factor.
