A 150-year-old Indiana farmhouse moved to a new home Wednesday, Aug. 5.
The historic Daniel Ward house, which was built at the corner of what is now S.R. 23 and Gumwood Road (Main Street) in 1865, was relocated to the east end of University Drive Court.
The home was purchased by the Blackburn and Green law firm.
Work began at about 7:30 a.m. Crews removed power lines, street signs and traffic lights so that the home could safely move. Trees along the path were also trimmed to ensure safe delivery.
