Police searching for suspect after shooting on Studebaker St. in South Bend

A man was shot in on Friday, Aug. 7, during a birthday party taking place at a home in the 400 block of Studebaker in South Bend.

The victim was shot in the side, according to a tweet from South Bend Police. The victim’s injuries were determined to be non-life threatening.

The victim told police he did not know the suspect but officials said the shooting was not random, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners with ABC 57.

Police are still searching for the suspect who ran off after the shooting according to Sgt. Chuck Stokes with the South Bend Police.
