Pet of the Week: Bridgette is a special needs lab mix looking for a home with no other pets

Looking for a new furry four-legged friend? The Humane Society of St. Joseph County has several dogs, cats, birds and other animals looking for a forever home.

This week’s 95.3 MNC Pet of the Week is Bridgette, a spayed 2-year-old female lab mix. Here’s more about her:

Talk about looks and personality! Bridgette is a very sweet and loving dog with special needs. She came to us as a stray and was positive for heartworms and Lyme disease. Over the course of about a month, Bridgette was under our shelter veterinarian’s care receiving treatment for heartworm and Lyme disease. She is now finished with treatment and will need a follow up in about six months with her new family veterinarian. Bridgette would do best in a mature household with no other pets. If you have an open spot in your home and heart for a special needs pet, please consider meeting Bridgette at the Humane Society of St. Joseph County.
