Police: 3 reported dead in less than 12 hours in Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) — Fort Wayne police say three people were reported killed in less than 12 hours over the weekend.

The Journal Gazette reports police were called to the most recently reported death around 10:50 a.m. Sunday. Police say a man had died from apparent stab wounds that he received while a group of men were hanging out in an apartment building.

About 30 minutes earlier, police responded to a man being found covered in blood in a car outside an apartment complex. WANE-TV reports the man had apparent gunshot wounds, and police are treating it as a homicide investigation.

Just before midnight Saturday, police say a teenage girl was fatally shot in a shootout between two groups on Fort Wayne’s southeast side.

The Allen County Coroner’s Office will determine the causes of the three deaths. Police say no arrests have been made.
