Indianapolis woman killed in crash involving suspected intoxicated driver near Three Oaks, Mich.

Police have identified the woman killed by a suspected drunk driver while she was riding a bicycle near Three Oaks, Mich., on Monday afternoon.

Peggy Hillman, 72, of Indianapolis was riding her bicycle on Warren Woods Road near Three Oaks at about 3:15 p.m. when she was hit by a passenger car driven by 38-year-old Derek Loraff of Three Oaks, according to a news release from the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department.

Hillman also had a home in Lakeside, Mich.

Loraff had been drinking before the crash, according to the news release, and was arrested at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
