Inmate who died at St. Joseph County Jail identified by police

Officials have identified the 60-year-old man who died while in custody at the St. Joseph County Jail on Wednesday night.

Vonne Duran Jones was pronounced dead at 8:55 p.m., according to a news release from the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office.

An autopsy is set for Friday morning, Sept. 4, in Kalamazoo.
