MUSKEGON, Mich. (AP) — A western Michigan woman has been sentenced to 19 to 30 years in prison for the fatal stabbing of the father of her young daughter and son.

The Muskegon Chronicle reports 23-year-old Shondrea Parker was sentenced Thursday on a second-degree murder charge in the death of 24-year-old Calvin Webb. She had earlier entered a no contest plea, which isn’t an admission of guilt but is treated as such for sentencing.

Authorities say Parker, who was pregnant at the time, stabbed Webb in the chest during an argument in October 2014. Senior Assistant Muskegon County Prosecutor Rachael R. McEnhill says Parker was angry that Webb had ended their relationship and was with another woman.

Webb had a young daughter with Parker and a son that was born after his death. Parker named the baby after Webb.
