Goshen Redskins mascot replacement suggestions can be submitted Sept. 25 to Oct. 4

Goshen High School alumni and students now have a chance to submit ideas for Goshen’s new mascot, which will take effect when Redskins is retired Jan. 1.

Suggestions will be accepted beginning Friday, Sept. 25, through Oct. 4, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners The Elkhart Truth.

Submissions will only be considered if they are from GHS alumni living within the district boundaries and by Goshen High School and Goshen Middle School students.

Suggestions that involve Native American symbolism or language (“Chiefs” for example) won’t be considered. The school will continue using red and white colors.
