Indiana residents who want to vote in the November 2015 elections need to make sure they’re registered to vote — or updated their voter registration information — by the end of the day Monday, Oct. 5.
The Nov. 3 elections are for municipal races, such as mayor, city council and city clerk.
In order to register to vote, you must be an Indiana resident and U.S. citizen who is at least 18 years old and have lived in your precinct for at least 30 days. Anyone who is currently imprisoned for a crime is not eligible.
You can register to vote or update your voter registration information in one of three ways:
- Online at the official IndianaVoters website
- In person at your local Bureau of Motor Vehicles location or by taking a completed form to your county voter registration office
- In the mail, by filling out a form and mailing to your county voter registration office
Forms must be submitted or postmarked by Oct. 5 in order to qualify for the Nov. 3 election.
