Mishawaka Hooters opens Monday after renovations to Day Road location

If you’ve been craving Hooters wings, you’re in luck — the sports bar and grill is open again for business in Mishawaka.

Hooters at 205 W. Day Road is opening at 11 a.m. after the building went through renovations over the summer, according to our reporting partners at Flavor 574.

The restaurant closed its Mishawaka location in 2011 after eight years in business. Sales had declined starting in 2006 and the recession led to the decision to close the restaurant, the South Bend Tribune reported at the time. It was the only Hooters restaurant to be closed at the time.

But now the restaurant is back and features a modern look, a central bar and seats for 217 people.
