Burglar stuck inside pizza shop oven vent rescued by firefighters

BRANDON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — A 32-year-old man faces charges after police found him stuck in the oven vent of a southeast Michigan pizza shop.

The Oakland County sheriff’s office says Monday that the man dangled from the Brandon Township shop’s ceiling for about 11 hours.

The man climbed into the vent pipe from the building’s roof. He was freed by firefighters. He was taken to an area hospital and treated from minor injuries and dehydration.

Authorities say the man is on parole and has three prior breaking and entering and home invasions convictions.
