One person killed in fiery crash on Saturday night in Berrien County

One person was killed in a fiery crash in Berrien County, Mich.

Emergency crews were called to the intersection of Tabor Road and River Road in Sodus Township around 7:45 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7, according to a news release from the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department.

Police found a single motor vehicle had run off the roadway and was fully engulfed in fire, according to the news release.

The vehicle ran into a series of rolled irrigation lines which caused extensive damage to the front end, the news release states.

After the fire was put out, a body was located in the drivers seat of the vehicle.

The crash remains under investigation.
