Notre Dame ROTC units plan Veterans Day vigil

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) — ROTC units at the University of Notre Dame plan to mark Veterans Day with a 24-hour vigil at Clarke Memorial Fountain on campus.

Cadets and midshipmen from Army, Navy and Air Force ROTC units will stand guard at each of the fountain’s four corners from 5 p.m. Tuesday until a Veterans Day ceremony at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Notre Dame alumnus and veteran James W. Wagenbach is scheduled to address the entire corps during the 30-minute ceremony. The public is invited to attend the during the vigil and ceremony.

Veterans Day marks the anniversary of the armistice that ended World War I in 1918.
