Veterans Day is Nov. 11, and several restaurants and stores are offering freebies and discounts to current and former U.S. military members.
Check out the list below to find out where you can get a free lunch or dinner, haircut or a discount on items. Most businesses require a military ID or proof of service to redeem the offer. Not all locations may offer the deal, so anyone interested in enjoying a deal should call ahead to confirm.
Veterans and active-duty military can enjoy a free meal from a special menu, with options including a 7-oz. sirloin steak or double crunch shrimp, on Nov. 11. Beverage and gratituity not included.
Veterans and military personnel can get a free meal, up to $12, on Nov. 10 and Nov. 11 with valid military ID or proof of service.

Veterans and active-duty armed forces can enjoy a free “build your own pasta bowl” all day Veterans Day. Show a military ID or wear your uniform to get the meal.
Veterans and active-duty military can get a free haircut on Nov. 11. Other customers who pay for a haircut on Nov. 11 will receive a card for a free haircut to give to a veteran that can be used anytime before Dec. 30.
Any service member with an active or retired military ID can receive one free cupcake of any flavor on Veterans Day.
Anyone who has ever served in the U.S. military can receive a free special sit-down dinner from 5 to 9 p.m. Nov. 11.
