Search for suspect in Sherman Avenue shooting underway, victim stabilized after surgery

South Bend Police are searching for the suspect they say shot a man in the abdomen.

It happened around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 11, near the 1000 block of Sherman Avenue in South Bend.

Officers obtained a search warrant to search for clues at a home believed to be vacant, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

The victim underwent surgery. His condition was stabilized, WNDU reported.

Police are asking for anyone with information to contact Michiana Crime Stoppers.
