Weekend warmup could lead to near-record or record-breaking temperatures in Michiana

Temperatures are warming up this week and could be close to record-breaking this weekend.

ABC 57 Chief Meteorologist Tom Coomes is forecasting temperatures to be in the upper 40s and 50s for the rest of the week and they could push 60 degrees by Saturday, Dec. 12.

If temperatures do break 60 degrees, there is a chance that a record could be tied or even broken, Coomes wrote.
