Third suspect charged in burglaries reported before Amanda Blackburn killing

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Prosecutors have charged a man with helping two others break into homes just before the deadly attack on an Indianapolis pastor’s pregnant wife inside the couple’s house.

The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office announced the filing of burglary and theft charges Monday against 24-year-old Diano Gordon. He’s charged with breaking into two homes on Nov. 10 with 18-year-old Larry Taylor Jr. and 21-year-old Jalen Watson.

Taylor and Watson face murder charges for the shooting death of 28-year-old Amanda Blackburn, which police say happened shortly after her husband left for the gym about 6 a.m.

Gordon doesn’t face charges in Blackburn’s death or the break-in at their home.

Gordon has been jailed on an alleged parole violation since Nov. 19. Court records don’t list an attorney who might comment on his behalf.
