One person was shot in the 500 block of Allen Street in South Bend.

Officers were called to the scene on Saturday afternoon, Dec. 27.

One person was taken to the hospital, according to WNDU.

The investigation centered on a white pick-up truck in front of a home at the intersection of Allen and Harvey streets, the South Bend Tribune reported.

A man was pulled from the truck and placed on a stretcher and taken to the hospital in an ambulance, according to a neighbor, as reported by The South Bend Tribune.

The extent of the victim’s injuries were not known, as of late Saturday afternoon, WNDU reported.

There was no word of any possible motive, suspects or arrests in the shooting, as of late Saturday afternoon.

This marked the fifth shooting investigation for South Bend Police since Wednesday, Dec. 23.
