One person injured in shooting on Middlebury Street in Elkhart

One person was injured in a shooting southeast of downtown Elkhart.

Elkhart Police were called around 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 26, to the 400 block of Middlebury Street in Elkhart on the report of gunfire, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at The Elkhart Truth.

A 21-year-old man was shot twice and later arrived at Elkhart General Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries, according to the Elkhart Police.

The shooting stemmed from an argument, The Elkhart Truth reported.

Police found 14 shell casing at the scene of the shooting.
