Replay of love: Couple renew vows on radio 25 years later

SAGINAW, Mich. (AP) — Radio listeners heard Robert and Beth Young get married in 1991 in Saginaw. Twenty-five years later, they have renewed their vows — on the airwaves.

The Youngs visited radio station WSGW on Friday, just a few days before their 25th anniversary. They were married in 1991 while inside a trolley car, which was part of a Valentine’s Day promotion at the station.

The Saginaw News says Judge Terry Clark helped the couple renew their vows. He’s the same judge who officiated 25 years ago.

Radio host Sue Smith says the Youngs were married on a trolley and have been “cruising along ever since.”
