Teenage girl shot on Roger Street in South Bend

South Bend Police are investigating two shootings.

A 17-year-old girl was injured in one of the shooting incidents that happened around 1 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 28, according to WNDU.

Police were called to the 2100 block of Roger Street.

The victim told police she was confronted by four people. Several shots were fired. The girl was stuck in the leg.

In a separate incident, a man was shot on Saturday night, Feb. 27, in the 1900 block of W. Western Avenue.

The 24-year-old victim was shot in the thigh during a struggle with a gun in the midst of a drug deal-turned-robbery, according to South Bend Police, as reported by WNDU.

The victim was taken into surgery after arriving at the hospital.
