Credit cards, drivers licenses stolen from Mishawaka restaurants over the weekend

Several credit cards and drivers licenses were stolen at restaurants in Mishawaka over the weekend and then used for large purchases.

The cards were stolen from purses that were left dangling over seats at restaurants between Friday, March 25, and Saturday, March 26, then used at businesses along Grape Road and Main Street, according to Lt. Tim Williams with the Mishawaka Police Department.

Residents and shoppers who were out in the area should check with their local banks and credit card companies to make sure their accounts are safe, Williams said. Multiple victims reported the thefts to the Mishawaka Police Department.

Anyone with information about potential suspects is asked to contact the Mishawaka Police Department at 574-258-1684 or Crime Stoppers at 574-288-7867.
