Woman shot in 2500 block of W. Kenwood in South Bend early Saturday morning

A woman was shot around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, in the 2500 block of West Kenwood in South Bend.

The woman was sitting in an SUV when several rounds were fired at the vehicle, according to WNDU.

Police were sent to the scene after ShotSpotter picked up the gunfire, WSBT reported.

The victim was grazed by a bullet and is expected to be okay.

She told South Bend Police officers the shots were fired from a passing car, described only as a dark-colored vehicle, WSBT reported.
