For two weeks this summer, diners in downtown South Bend can get a bite to eat at a discount while raising money for a good cause.

South Bend Summer Restaurant Week kicked off Monday and lasts through July 3.

Sixteen bars and restaurants downtown are offering special menus at $11, $22 or $33 for breakfast, lunch, dinner or a snack (menus are available online). Some of the restaurants are also adding add-on items and drink specials.

Ten percent of the proceeds from each meal will go directly to Memorial Children’s Hospital.
