LaGrange County man arrested on drug-related charges

A Topeka man was arrested on Sunday, July 24, on drug-related charges.

Steven P. Nordman was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of meth, operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a controlled substances in the body and possession of paraphernalia, according to the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department.

Police saw a black car parked in the area of 300 W. south of 700 S. around 2:20 a.m. on Sunday. Nordman was sleeping in the drivers seat, the sheriff’s department stated.

Nordman failed a field sobriety test and later tested positive for amphetamines and marijuana, police say. Police also found meth and paraphernalia on him.

He was taken to the LaGrange County Jail.
