PORTAGE, Ind. (AP) — The Indiana Toll Road says eastbound traffic is moving again at the Portage Toll Plaza after a fire there.

The Toll Road posted on Twitter that three eastbound lanes were reopened by 12:40 p.m. CDT and a fourth would reopen within another hour. All westbound lanes also are open.
State police say a semitrailer caught fire at the toll booths in Portage about 6 a.m. and flames spread to an awning.

Police say traffic was being diverted because of the backup. They say traffic will continue to be backed up for an extended period of time.

The semi was loaded with potatoes and apples. Police say the damage is estimated to be at $1 million.

Police say no injuries were reported.
