47 Michigan State Police recruits to be sworn in at graduation

LANSING, Mich. (AP) — A group of 47 recruits were sworn in as members of the state police at their graduation in Lansing.

Gov. Rick Snyder delivered the keynote and state police director Col. Kriste Kibbey Etue performed the swearing-in, Friday, at the 129th Trooper Recruit School ceremony.

The new troopers have been assigned to posts across the state.

A total of eight assignments are at the Metro South Post in Taylor and the Metro North Post in Oak Park. Four are in Flint. The Tri-City Post in Freeland and the Lakeview Post each will get three new troopers.
