It’s another sign of fall: Potato Creek State Park’s Prairie Maze opened on Friday, Sep. 9.

Visitors can wander through trails cut in the 7-foot-tall restored prairie grasses. The maze is open daily from dawn to dusk through early November, or until weather lays the prairie grasses down.

Maze instructions and maps are available at the park information center, the entrance gate or the nature center.

This year’s maze challenge focuses on the diversity of the prairie and on the state parks system. The first 44 groups to solve the challenge will receive an Indiana State Parks 100 Year Pin.

The maze is free after paying the standard admission fee of $7 per in-state vehicle or $9 per out-of-state vehicle.

Potato Creek State Park is at 25601 State Road 4 in North Liberty.
