An unwelcome guest returned to South Bend and Marshall County homes over the weekend.

The Marshall County Emergency Agency says that some residents in North Township were under a boil order for cooking and drinking water until wells could be tested, according to the South Bend Tribune.

About three inches of rain fell on South Bend Friday night and Saturday morning, which led to some areas experiencing flooding for the second time in less that a month. A travel advisory was also issued for Marshall County Saturday afternoon, as they dealt with rising waters.

In both South Bend and Marshall County, the flooding impacted homes and businesses that were still recovering from the historic flooding in August that struck the area.
