The U.S. Department of Defense is asking AM General to add to their fleet once again.

This time, the South Bend company is getting $9 million to build 40 Humvees with ambulance shelters, according to the South Bend Tribune.

AM General’s Mishawaka plant will construct the Humvees by the end of July 2017.

The M1152 vehicle is capable of transporting several patients, thanks to its ambulance shelter.
