Missing Mishawaka man located, reported to be safe

9/27/2016 8 p.m. UPDATE: Mishawaka Police say Jeremy Owens has been located and is safe. The missing person report has been cancelled.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Mishawaka Police Department is asking for help from the public in locating a missing man.

Jeremy Owens, 45, has been missing from his Mishawaka home since Friday, Sept. 23, according to Lt. Tim Williams with the Mishawaka Police Department.

Owens last made contact with his wife on Saturday, when he told her that he was going to retrieve stolen property at an unknown address on Parkview Street in Elkhart, Williams stated.

Owens’ family feels his life may be in danger.

Owens is described as white, approximately 6’1” tall, 185 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.  Owens drives a red Dodge Ram 1500 with an Indiana license plate WKJ649 with both the driver and passenger side windows busted out.
