INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — A class-action lawsuit is set to go to trial accusing the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles of overcharging license and title fees.

The Wednesday bench trial in Marion County court comes almost three years after the agency settled another class-action lawsuit for $30 million that dealt with driver’s licenses. The current lawsuit involves fees for motor vehicle and semitrailer registration and personalized license plates.

The Indianapolis Star reports the Marion Superior Judge John Hanley will hear the case. It is expected to take one day.

Those suing the BMV argue it owes Indiana drivers tens of millions of dollars. The agency argued the number isn’t that high and that in some cases it undercharged.
