Two people hospitalized after multi-vehicle crash at Capital Ave and Cleveland Road

Two people were taken to the hospital with serious injuries after a multi-vehicle crash on Capital Avenue near Cleveland Road.

The collision happened around 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 28.

One of the vehicles overturned and two people were trapped, according to St. Joseph Area Fire as reported by 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

A witness said a driver traveling south of Capital crashed into another vehicle turning west onto Cleveland, according to The South Bend Tribune.

Capital Avenue was closed for several hours for clean up and the investigation.

Capital Avenue is like a race track. Increasd police presence is definitely needed there.
