Things might become slightly “hairy” at the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department in the coming month.

Several employees of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department and Prosecutor’s Office will be participating in a “No Shave November” event.  In an attempt to help Our Father’s House, a local thrift store, department officials have granted permission to their workers to grow beards during the month of November. The only stipulation is that participants must donate at least $20.

With the approaching holidays, the collected donations will all go directly to the thrift shop. It specializes in helping low income families.

Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Deputy Mike Fowler stated that there are tentative plans to perform a “group shave” on November 30th at the Kosciusko County Justice Building at the conclusion of the month long program.
