Scotty’s Brewhouse could be somebody else’s brewhouse soon.

20 years after he founded it, founder Scott Wise is looking to sell the chain to Pacific Restaurant Partners for $20 million, according to the Indianapolis Business Journal.

The deal would see Wise sell all 14 Scotty’s Brewhouse locations, his two Thr3e Wise Men brewpubs, and remain employed with the new group for five years. The group is comprised of Arizona-based and Japan-based companies.

The deal could take the Scotty’s Brewhouse concept nationwide. Pacific Restaurant Partners wants to open as many as 1,000 restaurants across the country under different brands by 2020.

Wise opened his first restaurant in Muncie in 1996 as an inexperienced entrepreneur who just graduated from Ball State University. Wise has not publically commented on the sale.

Scotty’s Brewhouse has a location in Mishawaka on North Main Street north of Day Road.
